C-6 LOWER LICENSE PLATE BRACKET INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL VERSIONS
Thank-you for the purchase of our new C6 LOWER LICENSE PLATE BRACKET product. When installed correctly this product will reposition your front license plate to a more suitable location. The Best part is that it looks great!
TOOLS AND ADDITIONAL ITEMS REQUIRED
1) Socket set and wrenches
INSTALLATION TIME – 20 minutes
Before you begin, insure that you have the right kit for your car.
2005 kit # 8000 B (Black) (Solid mounting plate) 2005 Kit # 8001 B ( Black) (Round hole paten mounting plate) 2005 Kit # 8001BRH (Black) (Solid base with round pattern mounting plate) 2005 kit # 8002 M (Matte Black) To be used with the installation of a C6 Front Grille Kit 2005 kit # 8002 B (High Gloss Black) To be used with the installation of a C6 Front Grille Kit
STEP # 1: Preparation
The new C6 front license plate holder bracket allows you to position your license plate higher or lower according to you preference. Position and attach the plate holder to the plate bracket using the supplied bolts and nuts.
NOTE : USE LOCK TIGHT OR THE EQUIVALENT ON THE BOLTS TO PREVENT THEM FROM COMING LOOSE !
STEP# 2 INSTALLATION
Place the protective strips on the underside of the plate holder.
Remove the following 2 bolts from the inside of the grille area. Place the plate holder feet in the cradle area and reinstall the bolts ( DO NOT TIGHTEN)
Insure that the Plate Holder is were you would like it. You may need to slightly bend the bracket feet or base to insure a custom fit. Tighten the two inner bolts and install the two self tapping screws.
Install the license plate to the plate backing using the 4 supplied screws or other hardware.
CARE OF THE C6 LOWER LICENSE PLATE HOLDER KIT PRODUCT
The product is designed to last the entire life of your car under normal conditions. The product will resist heat, cold, rain, wind, and impacts. Although this product is durable, it will not survive a major curb impact or a front-end collision.
