STEP # 1

In order to install the C4 Vent Grille Kit, you must first remove the side vent panel.

Using the T-27 Torx socket, remove the 4 bolts on the outside of the panel

Using the 10 mm socket, remove the upper bolt.

Using the 10 mm wrench, remove the lower panel bolt.

Note: it is only necessary to loosen this bolt, since the panel will slide out.

With the bolts removed, slide out the panel. Now that the panel has been removed, thoroughly clean the inside of the panel. You may also want to repair any stone chips before re-installing the panel.

The C4 Grille Kit Product                 Match the C4 Vent Grille kit product to the 95-96 panel.

 FOR 95-96 ONLY!

Using a pair of pliers, bend the small lip 90 degrees towards the front of the panel

84 to 90 and 91 to 94 grille bending procedure

For all 84 to 90 side fenders, bend the grilles to resemble the below picture.

The Grilles must sit at about a 70 degree angle and not 90 degree.

Apply the Automotive Goop, or equivalent epoxy, along the top and sides of the tabs.

Note: The adhesive strips are designed to hold the grille in place, while the Automotive Goop or equivalent epoxy dries. DO NOT attempt to mount the grilles using the double sided adhesive alone!

For all 91 to 94 side fenders, bend the grilles to resemble the below picture.

The Grilles must sit at about a 70 degree angle and not 90 degree.

Apply the Automotive Goop, or equivalent epoxy, along the top and sides of the tabs.

Note: The adhesive strips are designed to hold the grille in place, while the Automotive Goop or equivalent epoxy dries. DO NOT attempt to mount the grilles using the double sided adhesive alone!

95-96 Grille and  Panel

Using a pair of pliers, bend the large lip towards the back of the panel

 Insure that the appropriate bends in the lips have been made to insure near flush fit.

 Clean the entire area with alcohol and allow to dry.

Attach the special adhesive strips to the bottom of the metal lips and trim off the excess.

 Position and apply the Grille.

NOTE: IT IS ALSO RECOMMENDED THAT YOU USE AUTOMOTIVE GOOP OR EQUIVALENT  ALONG THE TOP AND SIDES  OF THE GRILLE TABS TO INSURE A SOLID BOND TO THE PANEL!

DO NOT attempt to mount the grilles using the double sided adhesive alone! 

Note. you may wish to use a black marker to mark an outline to aid in the application of the Grille.

WARNING : Once the EPOXY adhesive has been applied, it cannot be removed!!!!!!

 Apply pressure to the adhesive pieces.

Allow the adhesive to set for 20 minutes to insure a secure bond.

 Then re-attach the panel to your Corvette.

                                        FINISHED!

The product is designed to last the entire life of your car under normal conditions. The product will resist heat, cold, rain, wind, and impacts. Although this product is durable, it will not survive a major curb impact or a front-end collision.

Your C-4 GRILLE KIT is high quality stainless steel and can be cleaned normal car wash soap. You may also a stainless steel polish and a buffer to increase the shine factor.
