C-6 EXTERIOR EURO GRILLE KIT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Thank-you for the purchase of our new C6 GRILLE KIT product. When installed correctly this product will keep your radiator and condenser protected for the life of your car. The Best part is that it looks great!

The Exterior Euro Grille kit is designed to be installed in front of the original plastic.

Please follow the installation and care instructions exactly to insure you get the maximum usage and benefits from the C6 GRILL KIT Product.

TOOLS AND ADDITIONAL ITEMS REQUIRED

1)       Socket set and wrenches

2)       Screwdriver

3)       Lock tight or equivalent

INSTALLATION TIME – 40 minutes

Before you begin, insure that you have the right kit for your car.

STEP # 1:  Preparation

 The plastic GM grille does NOT need  to be removed

You may wish to further polish the stainless steel to a mirror shine using metal polishing products.

Raise the front of the car and securely support it with jack stands.

Remove the 4 lower screws holding the GM plastic grille to the bumper.  The center screw does not need to be removed.

Remove the left and right brake ducting and panel

Remove the two plastic push pins holding the grille cradle in place (2 on each side)

Bend the plastic cradle edge back so you can access the screw holding the grille to the fascia.

Step # 2 : Mounting the SS Grille

Insert the 4 supplied brackets ( 2 on the left and 2 on the right)  and reinsert the 4 screws. You may wish to coat the screws with lock tight or equivalent

Tighten the brackets from the lower air intake section, under the car. Snug up the screws so that brackets can move from side to side of final positioning.

Place the Euro Grille in position and insure that it is centered Note the Euro Grille is designed to fit 90 % vertically and not on the same angle as the original plastic GM grille.  The bottom of the Euro Grille should be touching the bottom of the GM grille. There should be about an inch space between the upper Euro Grille and the GM grille.

Line up the bracket with the Euro Grille and install the small screws. Use lock tight on the screw threads.

Place a piece of duct tape over the screw in order to prevent it from moving when tighten the nut from the opposite side.

Tighten all 4 screws and nuts.

From inside of the grille (access through lower rad opening) position the larger bracket ,to the left or right of the 2 rib of the GM grille, flush with the Euro grille.

Once in place peal the covering from the adhesive strip and apply the bracket to the vehicle. Allow the adhesive to dry and install the screw and nut.

For all black powder coated Euro grilles you may wish to apply some black paint to the heads of the screws.

Insure that the bottom rubber is flush with the fascia by positing it with your finger. Once in position, you may wish to apply some epoxy between the Euro Grille and inside of the rubber with a toothpick. This will lock it in place.

CARE OF THE C6 ROUND HOLE STAINLESS STEEL GRILLE KIT PRODUCT

The product is designed to last the entire life of your car under normal conditions. The product will resist heat, cold, rain, wind, and impacts. Although this product is durable, it will not survive a major curb impact or a front-end collision.

Your C6 GRILLE KIT is high quality stainless steel and can be cleaned normal car wash soap. You may also a stainless steel polish and a buffer to increase the shine factor.
